Hazard: Everyone wants to kill Chelsea

Wed, 09 Sep 2015

The Blues are eight points adrift of leaders Manchester City after losing to the title favourites, drawing to Swansea and suffering a rare home defeat to Crystal Palace.

Chelsea next play at Everton on Saturday in a contest which could have added spice after the champions' unsuccessful bid to sign defender John Stones.

Hazard, the recipient of numerous awards as Chelsea's star last term, is one of a number of players yet to hit the same performance levels, much to Mourinho's dissatisfaction.

The Belgium playmaker told fashion website "It's difficult to play as a champion because everyone wants to beat you, everyone wants to kill you.

"We wear the gold badge and...yeah, it's very good. We had a fantastic season last season...if we could do the same this season we'd be good."

Mourinho recently said: "If you are the best player in the league, I think it should be a good responsibility to have a similar season than in the previous season. I don't want to analyse individual performances.

"In general terms, it is difficult to have a consistent performance when some of the players are not performing at a good level."

Nobody needs to kill Chelsea or Eden, going by how they've started the current season. - arnold3k Post a Comment View the Comments Page
